Dick Calkins has trained teachers in Cognitive Coaching^SM Foundation since 1995 and has co-developed curriculum and strategies for the individual and organizational infusion of coaching. Currently an educational consultant, Dick presents programs on mentoring teachers, evaluation of certified staff, and standards-based education. Dick has 37 years of experience in secondary education and 17 years in district staff development training such as "Creating a Climate for Self-Esteem," mentoring, school improvement, and Cognitive Coaching^SM. He has worked for colleges in Illinois as an adjunct professor and for state educational delivery organizations. Dick is known for his ability to deliver trainings which please the professional's palate for learning.
