Sharon
Storrier is the former Director of School Quality
Services at OCM BOCES, a regional unit providing
staff development to the city of Syracuse, New York,
and the twenty-three surrounding school districts.
Prior to this, Sharon was a building and district
level administrator. She has a B.A. from Fredonia
State and M.S. and C.A.S. degrees from the State
University of New York. Her teaching experience includes
working with elementary, middle, and high school
students as well as adults.
Sharon is a national training associate for Cognitive
CoachingSM and Adaptive Schools. She has
worked extensively with administrators, teachers,
colleges, and community groups to increase student
achievement. She presents a myriad of workshops,
including Cognitive CoachingSM, Adaptive
Schools, Collaborative Analysis of Student Work,
Teachers Addressing the Language of Literacy with
Kids (TALK), presentation skills, and facilitation
skills. Sharon regularly works with administrators
and instructional coaches, facilitates leadership
retreats and problem-solving sessions, and provides
professional development for school districts and
building faculty. She has a zest for learning and
sharing her experiences with others.
