We would like to extend an invitation to all colleagues who have completed the Cognitive Coaching Foundation Seminar® to come together to network with colleagues from around the world. Training will include small and large group sessions designed to develop coaching skill and fluency, increase effectiveness of coaching applications and presentations, and broaden our collective knowledge base. Overview agenda (PDF file, 583 KB, new window).

You'll be able to network with leaders in Cognitive CoachingSM and learn about the latest thinking in Cognitive CoachingSM. Anyone having completed the Foundation Seminar may attend, but registration is limited to the first 80 registrants, so register soon.

This year, in order to assist districts with limited funding, the Center for Cognitive CoachingSM and the Center for Adaptive Schools will be partnering in use of time with trainers at the Cognitive CoachingSM Annual Leadership Network Symposium.

We are excited to offer book talks this year as some of the small group break-out choices. These are small group meetings in which an author will discuss the books he/she has written. If you are interested in attending one or more of the book talks, you are welcomed to do so, but reading the books before the book talk is not required. The books will be available at the Symposium, but also are available through their respective publishers or Amazon.com. The three books that will be covered are:

  • Culturally Proficient Learning Communities: Confronting Inequities Through Collaborative Curiosity by Delores B. Lindsey, Linda D. Jungwirth, Jarvis V.N.C. Pahl, and Randall B. Lindsey
  • Guiding Professional Learning Communities: Inspiration, Challenge, Surprise and Meaning by Shirley M. Hord, James Roussin, and William Sommers
  • Inviting Students to Learn: 100 Tips for Talking Effectively with Your Students by Jenny Edwards

  • Cancellation from December 1, 2009, through January 1, 2010:  50% of the conference fee will be refunded if you have already paid. You will be invoiced for 50% of the conference fee if you have not.

  • Cancellation after January 1, 2010:  no refund if you have already paid, and you will be invoiced for the full conference fee if you have not.
